I hope you enjoy and THANKS for the comments.

just because
I just wanted to share a few random pictures with everyone. And please excuse the side ways ones, I really need to figure that out, but can't seem too. I hope you enjoy and remember to keep leaving comments so I can post to WONDERFUL peek-a-boo video. It is three away after this one.
This is how Jaren sleeps every night. We lay him down on his back and he immediately rolls over throws his head back and butt out. It is SOOO darn cute.
I just like this one. It shows how big he is.

FIRST HAIRCUT
Just to let you know ahead of time I have 6 posts ready to post, but am going to do them one at a time and wait until I receive comments on each of these to make sure people have a chance to see each of them.
There is a Vegas slide show, a Christmas slide show, and then just some because ones with cute pictures and some videos.
Here is my before shot. It is actually a few days before my haircut, but I'm making a cute face in it so that is the one mom picked.

FINGERS CROSSED X2
As you can tell from the title there are two reasons why today we are keeping our fingers crossed.
1) Mom did not have to clean my eye one time today - I think maybe my blocked tear duct is clear!!! (Fingers crossed I don't wake up looking like a pirate tomorrow)
2) I finally realized at dinner tonight that baby food is not so bad and I opened my mouth for mom to put the food in for the last 4 bites. I didn't want to thought it was kinda funny to see what mom and dad would all do to get me open my mouth.
I can't wait for Christmas and to go to Vegas. Mom and Dad say I'm going to love all the lights and commotion. I'm just glad because it sounds like a loud place and I sleep the best when it is noisy.

FIRST CRAFT
Not sure how to get it the right direction, but you get the point it is a Christmas tree made out of Jaren's handprints. Yeah, I know he has HUGE hands.
Jaren brought home his very first craft project from Daycare today. I am in love with it. It is amazing how much it means to me when I know the Daycare lady did all of it in reality. Mark was so cute when I showed it to him he says "you need to laminate that" We are the epitome of first time parents I swear.
And just to keep you interested there will be pictures of Jaren with Santa coming soon.

Big boy food
So, I thought you would like to see how well I do with my big boy food. This particular day I'm having multi-grain rice cereal. Yum right. Well, as you all know I'm a BIG boy and I like my food so enjoy my pictures.

I'm proud of mommy!!!
Some of you may remember my mom complaining that she couldn't go to the KU vs. K-state football game this year because she had to take her COMPS for her masters. (I know yada yada yada)
Well, mommy finally found out the news and .....
SHE PASSED ALL FOUR SECTIONS OF HER COMPS!!!

THANKSGIVING
We had a REALLY good Thanksgiving and took advantage of the beautiful weather to take some family photos. (I know Grandma Cheryl - Finally) We went to Grandma and Grandpa Macs house first for a brunch and got these photos.
Then we went to Grandma Ginia's (well Great Aunt Carla's shed really) and spend some great time with that family before we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa Mac's for dinner. Man oh Man I had heard my mom talking about Turkey Gravy for a week, but didn't fully realize how serious she was about liking that stuff. She LOVES it!!!
Then on Friday we went to Grandma Cheryl's and Grandpa Mikes for a Thanksgiving lunch before Grandma Cheryl left to go to Vegas with her mom and sisters. Grandma said she would scope things out for me before I go in December with mom and dad. Yes, folks you heard me right I'm going to Vegas in December. My mom told my dad it was either go with me or not go at all - so I'm going :) On a plane at 6 months old - Mom and Dad might be crazy.
Any way, I can't wait for the holidays - mom and I finished our Christmas shopping the day before Thanksgiving so now all we have to do it listen to Christmas music and decorate the tree which I heard mom and dad talking about tonight and we are doing that next weekend - they say I'm going to like the lights a lot, because mom makes dad put on a TON! Anyway Happy Thanksgiving - Can't wait to see everyone on Christmas.

Growing up
Well, the inevitable is happening... Our baby is growing up. He is now able to roll over both ways and is holding his head up very nicely. He is no longer 'talking' one word at a time, but in full sentences and all the time. He simply looks more grown up (I promise pictures will come).
We will be feeding him is first real food this weekend. Baby cereal of course, but all the same it is not a bottle. I am so excited for this stage in his life. I'm very sad to see my little baby growing up, but so excited for what is to come.

4 month check up
Well, it was confirmed today - I'M a BIG deal.
Weight - 16 pounds = 67 %tile
Height - 26 1/8 in. 83 %tile
Head Circ. 43 3/4 cm. 85 %tile
Yeah, I know I'm HUGE.
Dr. Chavez said I'm doing great and says it is not fair that I am sleeping so much and so well for mommy and daddy.
He said that I need to keep looking to my left side more and that my tear duct is still blocked, but he won't do anything about that until I am 14 months old. :(
He did however give my mom and dad some drops to put into my eye to hopefully make my eye less gunky. We are keeping our fingers crossed.
That's about all other than the fact that mom and dad let them give me shots again. They keep swearing it is for my own good, but we'll see. The jury is still out on weather or not I believe them. They did tell me though that I don't have to have any more shots until I'm 6 months old.

ACTIVE
We have had a lot of people ask lately, which has made me realize we haven't made something very clear.
Mark and I Still want a BIG family. The only way to do that is to stay Active on our files and to continue to spread the word that we are looking to adopt another baby. Our only stipulation is that we have to have been able to do it physically ourselves. Jaren deserves to have us for that amount of time and we deserve to have him for that amount of time. Adopting another child right now would not be fair to him. Saying that, as long as Jaren can be 9 months old when the new baby would be coming along than we will be here with open arms and hearts.
We know that we were extremely blessed with everything that happened with and around Jaren's adoption. My friend thinking about us and calling, her niece agreeing to meet with us, her picking us, it being a PERFECT fit, and being able to feel secure with the adoption and still keep in contact with Jaren's birthmother, and it all happened SO FAST!!! We were so blessed and can't wait to welcome a new miracle into our family and watch Jaren be a big brother. (Let me just emphasise BIG - can't wait for his 4 month appointment on Monday)
So in short - YES we are still on the active list for adoption, which means we are looking to adopt again. So.... please continue to keep us in mind if you hear of any possible situations that could help our family grow. THANKS!!!

HUGE
Ok, so our son is HUGE.
I should have gotten pictures the past few days but I didn't.
Yesterday I put him in his three month pants and man oh man did he look like he was waiting for a flood. Which makes since since he is four months old today.
Then last night mark put him in six month pj's and they were not all that big.
Today was the kicker. I put on one of his BRAND NEW 3-6 month onsies and he looked like he was wearing a 3/4 sleeve onsie. CRAZY!!!
So, I just had to get on the scale with him and see how much he weighs. We have our 4 month appointment on Monday, but I couldn't wait. and he weighs...........16 pounds. CRAZY!!!
Just had to share, I'm baffled. He is SOOOOOO LONG!!!

Halloween
Here they are folks - I talked mom into taking a break from studying for her big test tomorrow to show you all these pics.
Here I am - mom is not sure why I am sideways, but I'm cute either way.
It was such great weather - mom wasn't even cold. And I sure wasn't with this silly, but cute costuem on.
Dad sure loves me. He thought I was the cutest Tiger he had ever seen. Which I was and am. :)
This is me with all my cousins on daddy's side, other than Troy (because he is toooo cool for us) and my KC cousins (well because they were in KC) We had a great time Trick-or-Treating at Aunt Luanns and Uncle Mikes.

3 month pictures
I hope you enjoy my new pictures. I know I'm actually three and a half months and mom is just getting these up here. I tell you it is hard competing with her masters classes, but I do win. She loves me so much she can't resist me.

Catch up
So, mom finally got sick of me telling her she needed to post some of my new stuff on the blog, so she took a break from her homework tonight to catch you all up. And man did she take me seriously. Don't miss any of the new posts. Mom put four on here just tonight. 2 videos and 2 picture posts. Get excited this is going to be good. Also, mom says to tell you that as soon as she gets my three month pictures she will post them on here too.
One more thing - please pray for strength for my aunt Brandi.
HAVE FUN, and don't forget to COMMENT, I like to hear what you all have to say.

Rolling over
Here it is folks - I'm a big boy - I now roll over!!!
Please notice I am happy when dad puts me down and also know that two seconds after the camera was shut off I was smiling at daddy. I don't like to do this, but I do, to make you all happy. ENJOY!!!
nursery
Well, my bedroom is FINALLY done. I do have to cut mom and dad some slack they've had a lot going on and they have tried. Mom wanted my room done a long time ago, but needed to touch up some paint spots so dad went to go get the paint matched. When dad brought the paint back mom got right to work and touched up all the spots. Only to notice that the paint did NOT match at all. So, they had to find time to completely repaint my entire room, an extremely similar, but not exactly the same color. This process got delayed a few times, but it is finally done and they have even decorated my room now. I wanted to share so I posted a few pictures for you to see. I know hard to believe a 3 month old blogging, but you know us young folks are really tech savy :)
This is my name, obviously, but mom sack painted the letters to give them some flare, I might be good on a computer, but I'm not ready to paint yet. Along with my name is a crucifix my mom and dad got for their wedding and a picture with the bedtime prayer on it that my birth mom gave me as a gift.

Here is my crib. Please notice I am in the crib, if you want to you can also look at the words that are now above my crib. My mom says she did those there so that whatever was above my crib didn't have the ability to fall down and hurt me. I told her I was tough and could handle it, but she said she didn't care - her and dad aren't taking any chances.
If you can't read this it says: A wee bit of heaven drifted down from above, a handful of happiness, a heartfull of love
This is my K-state clock, which I can't read yet, but will learn how, but I like the big purple powercat on it. Beside it is a plaque that some of mommy's friends made her. It says: Today we kissed an angel we knew it from the start, the first time our angel smiled at us we gave away our heart. Today we kissed an angel, this angel child of ours, though not of our creation, our child by God's design. Today we kissed an angel, our hearts are dancing wild, A family by a miracle, by this angel child of ours. Jaren John McFadden, born July 11, 2009. 8 pounds 6 ounces.
I hope you like my new room - I sure do.
Just because
Burping
If you haven't had the pleasure of witnessing one of Jaren's episodes here it is.
Jaren absolutely HATES to be burped. This is what he does each and every time.
ENJOY!!!

Found IT!!!
While mommy doesn't encourage this behavior - she thought it was cute enough to let me do long enough for this picture. As soon as she snapped this picture she put my pacifier back in my mouth. She says that someday she can take a pacifier away, but she can't take my thumb away.
Mom and Dad laugh at me too. They say it is cute when I am trying to find my thumb because I'm not very good at it yet so I end up licking my whole fist like it is a lolly pop. Anyway I hope you enjoy my cuteness :) Oh and my mom says if you do enjoy it please leave a comment on here every now and then so she knows that it is worth her time to keep posting. I know I have some faithful comments and we appreciate you greatly.

K-state football game!
I got to go to my first K-state game ever this past weekend. Mom and Dad said it would be my only game this year because of how beautiful of a day is was and the rest of the games it will be to cold. We all had such a good time. Well that is what I'm told. I slept through 90% of the day. I looked cute though with my purple gear on and my new stocking cap that didn't really fit, but was cute. I just have a big head and mom didn't think about that when she bought the hat. It was a good game and we won which helps especially since it probably won't happen much this season. Anyway enjoy my pics. Love -Jaren-
P.S. mom will be posting again soon. She caught me sucking my thumb the other day and while she told me she didn't like me sucking my thumb she thought it was cute enough for a picture.

Me and My Quilts
This is a post of me with all my quilts that people made me. On each picture the names listed below are the name(s) of who made that particular quilt. (Oh, and by the way I know they aren't all quilts, but to me it is all the same.) Either way I'm not going to be cold.
A special thanks to everyone that made me a quilt too.

2 month check up
Hello,
Well, I had to go to the doctor today and it was NOT fun. I had to get 4 differant vaccines. One they gave to me in the form of a drink and the other three she had to stick me with a needle. And the worst part was mom and dad just sat there and watched. They even helped hold me down. They kept telling me they loved me and that it would be ok, but they still let her do it. It all turned out ok though, because they only hurt for a little bit and then mom had a bottle ready right away and I forgot why I was mad in the first place.
The doctor checked out my right eye (as it still has gunkies all the time) and said that I have a blocked tear duckt (sp?) but nothing he is concerned about at this point.
The doctor pretty much said I'm looking A OK, which I already knew since I am the cutest thing ever. (Although the little 4 lb. baby girl I saw today is pretty cute. Mom and dad say we can be friends) (Mark and I's friends just had their baby 6 weeks early - both mom and baby are doing good)
Here's the good stuff are you ready?
I am in the 58th % for Weight
I am in the 70th % for Head Circ.
I am in the 79th % for Length!!! That is why my 3 month pj's aren't fitting anymore, I'm to long for them.
Overall I'm doing great and am so happy I don't have to go back and see those mean shot ladies again until I'm 4 months old.

Pool party pics
We also have a new background as you can see to celebrate the beginning of football even though K-state is 'rebuilding'.
Enjoy the pics. I've got more coming, but I'm going to spread them out. So you can get excited. I have a slide show called "me and my quilts" coming as well as pictures from our "It's finally final" party we had to celebrate the finalization of Jaren's adoption. Oh, and some cute bath pictures too.

Coming soon
I am here to promise pictures soon. I worked for close to an hour on Friday night to get pictures ready and they were all ready on my newly fixed computer. I went to go get a quick snack before I worked on posting them and when I returned the computer was dead. :(
So... Yesterday Mark and I went to Best Buy and purchased ourselves a new computer. Not just so we can post pictures. I had to have reliable computer to work on my class work.
I won't promise it will be today, but pictures will be returning to the blog SOON!!!
We have our two month appointment tomorrow so please pray the shots aren't to bad.

Hello
No, we have not fallen off the face of the earth. We are here and doing well.
Mark, has been out of town the last two weeks on work trips (he was here on the weekend in-between) I have started my masters classes again (I'm taking two this semester) and I went back to work last week. So.... I've been a little busy and any free min. I had I was cleaning, or sleeping.
Jaren is doing great and growing like a weed. We have his two month check up on the 14th and other than the shots I can't wait to go and see how much he weighs, how long he is etc... I also want them to look at his right eye. His left eye has been completely clear for the last four days (first time since birth) but his right eye refuses to be clear of the gunk. We still have some of the eye drops from when he was 3 weeks old so we are using those to hold us over until his appointment.
I will try to post more often and add some pictures once we get our computer back. We found out yesterday that it is fixed, so now we just have to go get it and I can add pictures on here again without having to borrow someone else's computer.

Prayers for Brandi
Ok, so I know I've kinda left you all hanging in the balance with my sister-in-law Brandi.
I'm going to try and make this short and to the point.
We have traveled a L O N G road with Brandi this summer and we finally have a diagnosis. She has Lyme disease. :( It is not what we were hoping for, but that's ok, we have to make due with the hand we are dealt right?
Brandi has Bad days and Good days. She has MANY symptoms that come and go as they please.
So, PRAYERS please, as there is no cure for Lyme disease. There are treatments, but not cures. They are going to a doctor Wednesday to try and find out the best plan of action for her, but this is going to be a hard time for everyone. Especially, Marks brother Jeremy and their three girls: Mazzie, Monae, and Matea.
There is so much more to say, but that is the jist of it. Please pray for healing, patience, understanding, and that they may stay faithful throughout this difficult process.
