Jaren update

We do NOT have MONO. So after a week of isolation we have the clear to rejoin the world.

We do have an appointment with another specialist on the 13th of August. Please pray for this to go well, and for me to attend this meeting free of tears (fat chance).

As you can see from our new background we are gearing up for school to start. I have a TON to do in my classroom to be ready, but am excited for two new kiddos this year. 6 students in all and 5 para's to manage.

For those of you who know her or care. I got news this week that my newest para in my room for the 2012-2013 school year will be Mark and I's cousin Becky B.

More to come, but wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes after his last appointment. I really should have waited a day or two to post that, but wanted/needed the prayers.

Also learned something interesting at Jarens appointment that I thought others might find interesting as well.

As we all know Jaren has always been at the top of the charts. At this appointment his height percentile went down and his weight percentile went up. I commented about this and Dr. Chavez said for a boy he never worries about weight at all till they are 4.

He continued to explain that a girl who is overweight (not at top of both percentiles, but whos weight and height are disproportionate by the age of 2 is more likely to be an overweight adult.

But for a boy the same is not true until age 4.

Anyway thought that was interesting and wanted to share.
