Misc. Oct. 1

Here are some misc. shots from our family during the month of October.

Grandma Mac helping carve a pumpkin - watch out for that knife

Mommy and the kids watching the pumpkin lid be cut.

Daddy and Grandma showing Jaren what the inside of a pumpkin looks like

Daddy concentrating hard on his masterpiece.

Our Jack-O-Lanterns

Landrie loves loves loves to be swaddled, it puts her straight to sleep.

Jaren playing with a friend at a work party of daddys with a bubble blower.

Jaren's FIRST ever bandaid. He had toe that looked like maybe it was getting an ingrown toe nail so I wanted to put some cream on it and a bandaid. Jaren said he wanted the bandaid, but when daddy brought it to us he wouldn't let me put it on his toe, but instead wanted it on his arm and he felt better right away, didn't complain about his toe anymore. It was pricless, because people asked oh, no Jaren did you get an ouchy and I'd have to explain that yes he did - his toe hurts :)

sue's shower

We had a baby shower for Sue and Matt a few weekends ago and we had a great time!!! It was nice to get the whole family together. We just can't wait to meet the new baby.

All the woman at the shower - all sisters plus Terri Matt's godmother.

Sue and her mom

Sue thought her and the mom's were blindfolded and tasting the baby food, and was wondering how they kept getting it right and she wasn't. Sneaky little trick Brandi thought of huh

Not all baby food tastes good I guess. I wouldn't know I didn't eat any of it. Mark did though. He tried everything before Jaren ate it. I wonder if he will do that again with Landrie or just think, I tried it once I'm good.

Alice's wedding

Marks cousin Alice got married mid October and we had such a wonderful time at her wedding - I didn't get a picture of this sadly, as I was holding Landrie, but at her wedding is when Jaren discovered a love for DANCING and for disco ball lights :)

Halloween 2011

On the day before Halloween Jaren, Landrie and all their cousins went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Kamplings then to Great Grandma Ginia's to trick or treat. We had a great time and it was good practice for Jaren.

Landrie with Great Grandma Millie (my dad's mom)

Jaren making sure I know I'm not supposed to tell him it is time to go home.

Grandpa showing Grandma how to open her eyes for a picture (she is notorious for closing her eyes in pictures)

Jaren being a big boy (mommy is not ready for this)

Daddy with Landrie

Ok, there is a GREAT story we were done trick or treating and heading home so as we are loading the car Jaren realizes that his bucket of candy is not in his possession so he asks daddy, ever so sweetly, for his bucket please and daddy gives it to him. So on the way home it is dark and I can't see what is happening so I use maks phone and point it to the back of the car and take a picture and when I see it is Jaren so sweetly sucking on a blow pop (I have no idea how he got a blow pop open, but he did) I think oh no, but funny - that is until we get home and mark opens the back door and says OH NO - I didn't even look I just said take a picture.

Jaren had put the blow pop back in the bucket, there was a demolished peanut butter cup, a box of nerds completely soaked through so he could taste the suger - two crunch bars all over his lap and crumbled and the snickers that you can see in his hand. Jaren one point - parenting skills none :)

It only took Jaren not really wanting to go up to two houses before he realized that if he went up to the house he got candy - then the game was on. As soon as he turned around from one door he immediatly said "more nandy" and was off to the next house. SOOOOO cute.

pumpkin patch

A couple weekends before Halloween our family went to a pumpkin patch in town and we had a WONDERFUL time. Jaren could have cared less that we were at a pumpkin patch as he just LOVES to be outside more than anything else. It was s uch a great time.

I was suprised he liked the swing, but he sure did.

As well as the slide :)

Happy Girl :)

Jaren didn't quiet get the idea of the maze - he'd rather walk on the top.

Daddy and Landrie

Jaren loves loves loves to climb

The cow train was exciting for two seconds then he freaked out a bit and didn't actually ride it.

Mommy and Landrie and her beautiful eyes

Jaren couldn't get over all the old tractors sitting around - he drove EVERY one of them.

Jaren was so excited he was allowed to touch the pumpkins.

prayers/big girl

Sorry I have been absent - there are many pictures and good stories to share and I will get to them in time.

Both Mark and I's families have had events happen that have taken some of our time and given us even more of a drive to spend time as a family in the evenings and not be on the computer. I will post pics and stories soon, but for now I just ask for prayers for strength for our families.

Thanks in advance for the prayers.

Now for my baby girl. We had her four month check up appointment on Halloween morning and it went well.

She weighs 14 pounds 9 oz now (66%)
She is 24 1/2 inches long (54%)
and her head is in the 55%

Everything is checking out well. She did have a bit of an adhesion, but the doc fixed it in the office and said nothing to worry about just something to check on at 6 months. So all in all we are healthy and still one of the happiest babies I have ever met. She smiles literally ALL the time. We are so blessed. It helps to even out some of Jaren's terrible two's fits. I'll try to get one of these on video soon.

Again, thanks for prayers
