Johnny Jump

Ryland loves his Johnny Jump.  We used it at home once and then we have kept it at Mima and Papas as they had a MUCH better place to hang it.  He really loves it though I wish I could see him in it more often.

Jaren John McFadden

 

 

What is a mom to do when she realizes that her four year old is going to surpass her mathematical skills in approximately two years?

 

 

Last night getting PJ's on for bed.  Jaren tells Mark and I that 6 plus 6 is 12.  We hear this often as there is a chunk chart hanging in there with a monthly picture of Landrie 6 on the top row and 6 on the bottom row.  However tonight Jaren continues on as fast as he was just having a conversation no pausing to do figures.  Also 7 plus 7 is fourteen, and 8 plus 8 is sixteen. 

 

 

Mark and I just look at each other and smile as Jaren has always surprised us with his skills, but he follows it with You know why I know that.  It is easy cause it is just two more than the last one. 

 

 

Insert my jaw dropping here as this is a mathematical skill that Jaren really at his age should not grasp.  Oh how a person can question their decision to send their child to two years of Kindergarten.

 

 



Rylands first food

A bit out of order, but in early Jan. Ryland got his first taste of cereal.  He thought it was ok, not overly excited, but didn't hate it.  He does now LOVE to eat however and did develop a love for the rice cereal as well.

 

 

Ryland is 6 months old

We had Rylands 6 month pics done before spring break and we had some new pics of the kids too. 

 

My first reaction to the pic of the three kids was one I will never forget. 

 

I opened up the file from Amy and went --  Oh holy crap - I have THREE kids.  I am SOOO very blessed for it was less than 5 years ago right now that Mark and I were praying that God Bless us through the process of adoption and look at where we are now.  As Father said in Sundays serman (and of course the well known country song)

 

THANK GOD FOR UNANSWERED PRAYERS!!!

 

For this is not what my family would look like had God answered my MANY prayers and I would want NOTHING to change.  (Hindsight is 20/20 right)

Pirate and Princesses

Mark e-mailed me one day at work and said Hey I saw the perfect thing what do you think - Disney's Pirates and Princess show is coming to town.

 

Well..... we live and breath Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Sophia the First in this house so I could think of nothing more perfect.  It was a Friday night show.  We doned our perfect costumes left Ryland with Mima Cheryl and headed out for a GREAT night.  Jaren and Landrie had an amazing time and it was so much fun as parents to watch them enjoy the show and be so amazed. 

 

The tiara didn't last long, but we started with it on.

our seat were really high as we heard about the show late, but the seats were great as we were the front row of our section so the kids could stand and jump and not bother anyone and not have anything in their way.

 

It was such a great evening!!!
