Feb. 14 misc.

Feb. treated us well.  Mark is in full swing of his LAST masters class!!!!

He will finish just in time for me to begin taking classes again.  I am getting a student next year who is deaf and blind and am feeling a bit inadequate at teaching her.  I will begin taking courses through Utah State University on interveaning.  My twin sister Amy is one of the FEW credentialed interveaners in the state of Kansas, but I don't get her in my room so I am resorting to getting the education.  Even though I swore after Mark was done we were DONE with homework for a while.
It is an all online program and it is 2 - 4 credit hour classes it would take more to become credentialed, but I am opting out of that option.  One class in the summer and one first semester of next year.  The Kansas Deaf/Blind Coalition is paying a portion of my tuition as well.  Good news is I won't start till Mark is done - I don't think we could handle it if we had to overlap classes.  Right now we are focused on Mark being done Graduation is May 17th!!!

Also, Jaren has completed Kindergarten screening and did AMAZING.  He missed one point total for not knowing his phone number and address.  We have stopped asking him our address as we will be moving in approx a year and he knows our phone number he told it to us in the parking lot.

More exciting to Jaren though is the fact that he will be playing T-ball this summer.  Mark is going to be his coach and we are EXCITED!!!  Can you tell it is our first!  All Jaren will talk about is making sure he has a jersey with a number on the back.  So cute, I can't wait.

Landrie will be attending pre-school next year as well - the school I teach in is opening a pre-school program next year and mima and papa have agreed to pick her up two days a week if I can get her there so that is exciting news as well.

Ryland is sitting on his own now - pics to come in March pics!!!  Still trying to get a tooth and has found his voice.  He just starts yelling out of nowhere - not a mad yell just a happy yell because he can yell yell.  He is trying to crawl as well, he gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth.  He eats REALLY well (shocker I know) and is loving trying all the new fruits.

brotherly love

Jaren loved snow ball fighting with dad

And dad was a trooper!!!

Jan. 14 misc.

Jan. was a good month for us  -  not to much going on, but just recovering from our CRAZY holiday season and enjoying each other.

They like to get down and ready right after this they got down like they were in starting blocks to run a race

Ryland and I made a weekend trip to Kansas City to visit Kelsey, Marshal and Maelin - we had a GREAT time!!!  Yes Ryland is almost her size :)

They asked for the 'dog food' we do not make them eat on the floor - reeces puffs cereal made a perfect dog food

you can't really see him but Landrie is reading Ryland a book here (look for the hand in the red and white stripped pj's - Landrie Lynn is such a diva!

Ryland Reece is 6 months!!!

Here he is!!!  My BIG healthy HAPPY baby.  Ryland is a true joy.  He smiles all the time and makes everyone else smile as well.  He thinks he has to put his fingers in my mouth when he is eating and loves to bury his head into my neck (which I LOVE)  He is growing so fast and doing so many things.  He is sitting on his own now, getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth, and he has found his voice - he continually 'yells' at us.  It is such a happy yell, but man he is loud :)

Stats:
27 inches long putting him in the 67%
19 pounds and 8 oz putting him in the 81%

Yes he is 6 months and almost out of his baby carrier - he is so heavy to hold.

I love you little man!

Prayers Please

If I haven't already had a chance to tell you and ask for prayers I will ask again today.  My best friend Kelsey's mom was diagnosed with a rar lymphocynic leukemia in October.
This past week at Kevins appointment she found out there her White Blood Count had risen quite a bit.  Enough that they plan to start treatments VERY soon.  She has already found a bone marrow donor that is a match - WHAT A BLESSING - once treatments are over the transplant can take place.

PLEASE pray for Kelsey, her mom, and the rest of their family as they travel this journey.

Also, if you are interested in learning how you could join the bone marrow donor bank and possible save someones life by being a marrow match, as I have already done.  It is a CRAZY easy process to be put on the list - all it takes is a simple online registration and a mouth swab.
The site is:  bethematch.org

Landrie first and Landrie third

Thought I would combine two posts in one here.

A first for Landrie Lynn:
HER FIRST HAIR CUT!!!

It got a little shorter than I wanted but being the 'pro' that I am she had her head a little crooked watching sophia on the IPAD while I cut so then we had to cut more to make it straight.

and a third for her:
HER THIRD trip to the ER for busting her face open.  No stitches this time, although we needed something.  I won't get all the way into my utter dissatisfaction with the ER department at St. Teresa's, but now my daughter has a wonderful scar on her face because what they did for us for $250.00 was tell us to go to walgreen and buy bandaids.  That is right they didn't even give us a bandaid, in fact the doctor didn't even touch Landrie. AHHHHHHH  ok I'll stop there.
