First days of school 16-17

Here are our first day of school pictures 2016-2017

Jaren John was very excite to be in first grade.  His class go so big this year they split it into three sections.  He has 50 kids in his class.  With our school not having a ton of open rooms they had to put his classroom in the 3rd through 5th grade hallway right by 5th grade.  The thing that made this okay for Jaren is that it meant he got a locker in 1st grade.  

Landrie is doing another year in preschool as her summer birthday is scary for mommy.  I just can't imagine her graduating high school at 17.  She is happy to wait another year, but excited for next year at the same time to get to ride the bus and eat at school.  Mommy and Daddy are excited to as that will mean we own 100 a month for all day kindergarten versus full time daycare cost AND preschool fees on top of that.  Kindergarten here we come!

Taylin Tess' quilt pics

This is the quilt my Mima Ginia made for Taylin.  It has a purple back of course for our purple family.  The pieces on front on special as they are scraps or pieces from all the baby quilts she has made everyone so far.

Ryland's birthday party

As mentioned in the last post Ryland asked for a Blue birthday party and a blue cake and blue presents - so that is what he got :)  

He did not know the actual cake was going to be blue it was fun watching hims see that.

Ryland Reece's birthday fun day!!!

We had Rylands birthday fun day on his actual birthday this year!!!  We all had a great day.

We started the morning with a special breakfast of homemade doughnuts then we just hung out and had a relaxing morning.  Then we headed to D'Marios for lunch - Pizza!!!  Now that Ryland is potty trained he can eat D'Marios again.  Then we went bowling which Ryland loved until we were done and he was mad it was over.  

We then went home for Rylands special Dinner.  All Ryland would tell us he wanted for his meal was blue food as he is ADDICTED to the color blue.  He wanted a blue birhtday party with blue presents and he wanted a blue meal. 

So knowing how much he likes bacon we went for a blue breakfast complete with Bacon, Blue pancakes, hashbrowns, blue jello and blue scrambled eggs - complete with blue milk to drink.

 

Ryland also asks us for movie nights all the time so we concluded the day with a family movie night.  Ryland got to pick the movie :)  It was a GREAT day.

I can't believe Ryland is THREE years old.  Where did my baby go.

Ryland Reece James is THREE!!!

I can't believe my baby is THREE!!!  He is such a delight.  Perfect strangers still comment to us on his constant smile!!!  What a blessing.  We had his well baby appointment yesterday and it went fairly well - other then it ending in us getting a referal to see a urology specialist.  

STATS:

weight: 32 pounds = 54%

height: 37 inches = 40%

Happy and Healthy and ready for another exciting year!!!

He still hits his forehead on something almost weekly, looks exactly like my dad and has a serious passion for the color BLUE!!!

We had a GREAT blue birthday party this weekend as well - pics will come eventually.

So my best friend Kelsey took my three oldest kids for 4 nights at the beginning of August so Mark and I could have some quality bonding time with Taylin Tess.  It was AMAZING!!!  She is Crazy, but I am not going to complain and look forward to returning the favor when she has her next baby ;)

I can't get just my three in these at the same time so to get 5 kids I'm super impressed

So I had told Kelsey how much my kids were enjoying watching the Olympic trials with me and they had been asking if they could watch them with Kelsey.  

This day I had told Kelsey maybe the kids will sit and watch Gymnastics on Olympics with you and give you a break so she sent me this video of the kids 'relaxing' and watching TV.

Kelsey the break was AMAZING and I am VERY grateful for the special time to bond with Taylin - I needed it myself more than I realized as well.  Thank you so much.
