August 14 misc.

August was a fun month for us. Sometimes you forget till you look back!

One family night at my parents house my brother bought his new game FOWLING (mixture of bowling and football) it was a big hit for the guys - we couldn't get them to come inside no matter how dark it was out there.

Mara turned 16 this year!!! We met them at All Star sports to 'drive' the go carts - we had a great time!!!

Landrie was babysitting one day and got all her kids to sleep at the same time :)

Of course we fit in a few thrips (3 blocks down the road) to swim at the pool

Ryland got a big boy haircut at a salon - It went better than expected.

Just a little fun- well Jaren wasn't so sure invading his bed was fun, but it was he smiled later I promise.

Finalization Day!!

Every year we celebrate Finalization Day by having dinner with Mima's and Papa's!!!!

This year we had to stay close to home at Gambinos (not that anyone was complaining much) as we had Meet the Teacher night that same evening.

1st day of school

My babies got big on me and BOTH started school on the same day this year. Jaren in Kindergarten, wearing his stunning uniform, and Landrie in Preschool

It was hard day for Mommy, but they were both SOOOOO excited that helped a TON!!!

Daddy took the day off to run everyone to their first days of school. It was also Mommys' first day of school so I couldn't do it :( Daddy did a great job though and listened well about picture taking :)

KC vacation 2014

These pics got out of order so sorry for that. We went to KC this summer for a week to just get away and basically 'stay in a hotel' as that is what the kids ask for all the time.

We got in a lot of family time as well and got to have dinner with Maelin (oh and Kelsey and Marshal too)

On this trip I was also able to go visit Kevin at Hope Lodge - I will forever be grateful that I got to visit her this day - as it turns out that was the last day I got to see her on this earth. We had a nice visit and I will remember it fondly till I see her again.
