Ok, so I know I've kinda left you all hanging in the balance with my sister-in-law Brandi.
I'm going to try and make this short and to the point.
We have traveled a L O N G road with Brandi this summer and we finally have a diagnosis. She has Lyme disease. :( It is not what we were hoping for, but that's ok, we have to make due with the hand we are dealt right?
Brandi has Bad days and Good days. She has MANY symptoms that come and go as they please.
So, PRAYERS please, as there is no cure for Lyme disease. There are treatments, but not cures. They are going to a doctor Wednesday to try and find out the best plan of action for her, but this is going to be a hard time for everyone. Especially, Marks brother Jeremy and their three girls: Mazzie, Monae, and Matea.
There is so much more to say, but that is the jist of it. Please pray for healing, patience, understanding, and that they may stay faithful throughout this difficult process.

IT'S FINAL
At 9:45 this morning we (Jaren, Mark, Me, and both of our parents) met our lawyer and Jaren's birthmom at the courthouse. We then went upstairs and waited about 20 min. for the lawyer. He came in, asked if we had any questions, signed his name, congratulated us, and told us it would be about 10 weeks before we got his birth certificate, which we have to have to apply for a social security card. It was very anti-climatic, but AMAZING!!! We are so excited with everything. It all went so smoothly. We were blessed with this whole scenario from my friend who thought of us, to Jaren's birthmom and her entire family. What an amazing experience. And one we will hopefully get to experience again soon.

So Close
We are less than 24 hours away from finalizing the adoption of our Son Jaren John McFadden.
We can not wait and I personally would give anything for it to be 10:45 tomorrow morning.
Please pray that it all goes well and we can celebrate tomorrow!!!

We are so proud of Daddy. Mark will soon be starting a new job at Cargill. Don't worry it is here in Wichita.
Mark will now be a financial manager in the case ready division. Aside from changing BU's (Business Units - look at me talking in business world lingo) he will now be managing managers, in place of managing clerical staff)
We have no doubt that he will do a great job, WE LOVE YOU DADDY!!! WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!!
GOOD LUCK!!!

ONE WEEK!!!
We are getting so excited here at the McFadden house. We have one more week until our adoption is finalized. Our court date is Thursday morning at 10:00. So far so good, but still can't wait for it to be over. Our parents will be joining us at the court house and we plan on going to an early lunch after it is over to celebrate. Mark has taken the whole day off too so we can just spend the day as a family.
After Thursday than we will be able to request a birth certificate and get a social security number for him.
Jaren is doing fantastic and is growing like a weed. We went out to Mark's parents last night and his cousin Matea was over there who is 2 months older than him and she is just a little bit bigger than him. He's gonna be a big boy. Cutest thing ever!!!
CAN'T wait for next Thursday!!!

HELLO
Well, not much new hear other than I'm getting big. I roll over to my side by myself now (preferrably my right side). I am drinking 4 oz. bottles. I have also slept through the night 3 times now for mom and dad and man oh man where they excited!!! After they got over being worried something was wrong with me. The only negative thing going on is I've got a lot of eye gunkies. My mom called the doctor and went to pick up a prescription for me today and it seems to be helping already.
I also got my pictures back yesterday from aunt Amy and I don't mean to brag, but they are pretty darn cute. My mom will maybe post some soon.

This is what I do when mom tries to work on tummy time with me. I love being on my tummy so instead of working out my neck muscles I fall asleep 8 times out of 10.
I'm just getting SOOO big. My mom went to rinse out my bottle yesterday and when she returned this is what she saw. I don't lay still anymore, well actually I never did, but I can move even more now.
I'm just so cute.
I was pretending to be asleep here. I'm just so cute when I want to be.

Weekend
Jaren did such a great job traveling this weekend and was a little angel at the wedding. He didn't make a sound through the whole wedding :) He was really good at the reception too. I think that boy can sleep through anything. He probably couldn't tell you that there was even a dance happening he was so sound asleep. Not complaining, it made it easy to visit and catch up.
We had a nice time visiting with old friends and meeting all of their children, not to mention being back in Manhattan. It is just nice to go back.
Also, if you don't read the comments, Amy left one and she is done with Jaren's pictures and will let me see them when she gets back into town some time tomorrow. I can't wait.

photo shoot pics
Ok, so I've had quite a few requests for more of our photo shoot pictures. Here is the deal. My computer is still broken (probably just going to have to find time to go buy a new one).
Also, since my sister Amy is the one who took the photos (we started with around 380 and have eliminated it down to about 25) she is still working on them. By that I mean she is doing the extra cool stuff - making them black and white, soft focus, etc... when she is done and back in town I will be able to see them as well and will be able to use her flash drive to download some of them on here.
I can't wait to see what she is doing/has done either and will share when possible. Jaren was such a trooper that day and make it pretty easy to get such wonderful pictures. And I have to say I posted those pics really quick that day before I left her house and they aren't even my favorites.
Can't wait to share more with you.
I guess I could also let you know all is well here. I'm at home and NOT at work like everyone else so I'm great. Jaren is wonderful and continues to be a great baby. He is growing like a weed though - He is so darn long it is getting hard to swaddle him.
We are taking our first family trip this weekend to "God's country" Manhattan for a friends wedding. Wish us luck.

Baptism
Ok, so I spent a half an hour the other night putting together a really cute slide show from the baptism and went to post it only find out my laptop won't let me do that - so.... I'm working on pictures.
It went really well though. Jaren didn't make a peep the whole time even when he was bathed in the holy water. Father Michael did a fantastic job. It was a beautiful event and one that Mark and I have been waiting for, for a long time.
I will try to post pictures soon.
