Wow How time flies.
I say this as Mark and I went out last night to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary!!! I can not believe that we have been married for 10 years - more than that that we have been together for 18 years!!! CRAZY - that is more than half of my lifetime!!! I couldn't love Mark more - he is an AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING husband and if it is possible and even better DAD!!! God has blessed me with Mark and I am forever greatful for everything he is.
I was feeling so caught up and ready for the Holiday's. Which I was, but I've been flying by the seat of my pants since then. We have been having a wonderful times and creating great memories I'll share as soon as I find a min, but I don't see that happening any time soon. mark starts classes again, me working full time, plus my mentoring job I do on the side, And basically wanting to play with the kids when I'm not cleaning the house up. On top of that Mark is out of town all next week for work - lucky guy gets to go to Atlanta. Really what I mean is Lucky guy gets to eat kid free for a week - go to bed kid free - get ready in a.m. kid free and and and I know he misses them dearly when he is gone as I would but if you gotta go find the positives right?
Anyway I will post pictures soon from Christmas, our ER trip with Landrie for cutting her face open again (if you are counting that is #3) Ryland's 4 month pics (big boy), sledding with our cousins, and much much more. One thing I don't have any pictures of I wish I did is Jaren attending Story Hour.
I called last week and put his name on the list for Kindergarten (killed me) then I started thinking about how I won't get to go to his first day of Kindergarten because I teach in the same district he will attend and I cried. I have warned Mark he WILL be going with camera in tow.
Also, by the time I get to posting, I will have pictures to post of our next 'adventure' Friday night Mark and I will be taking Jaren and Landrie to Disney Junior "Pirate and Princess" It is Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Sophia the First (which we live and breath in this house) SOOOOO excited it couldn't be more perfect for our kids right now!!!
The Big 10!!! Congrats! For some reason I thought it was 9, but I was not thinking clearly! I hope you guys got to enjoy some time to yourselves and celebrate together!
ReplyDeleteAnd OMG, Jaren signing up for Kindergarten, that is some craziness right there! I didn't cry with Mazzie surprisingly, but I did for Monae. Maybe it's cause Mazzie was soooo ready and so excited and little Monae was so shy. :)
I feel the same way, this is just a season of being busy and trying to enjoy the moments we have with the kids. And although there is a lot to be thankful for, it still stinks that time to catch up with people suffers. I wish I had more time to invest in my friendships.
Taking care of humans is hard! ;)
Love you and sending you positive prayers!
Just sayin...I think you could (and should if you want) just go to the first day of Kindergarten. The kids in your classroom can surely survive an hour or so without you, even if it is the first day. I don't know a single parent in your classroom that would object.
