St. Rose is the Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon (out by Cheney Lake on 21st St.) This is the church my grandparents still go to and the church my dad went to as a boy as they lived across the street and that is where their store the "Kampling General Store" was located. To celebrate the churches centenial they had a parade and a day of fun. My dad, his parents and siblings all were memebers of the parade so we went to see the parade.

This is where the store was - it is now an eatery of some sort.
This is the house my dad grew up in and it also housed the 'old store' in a bag addition.

costumes
Jaren had fun when we got out our costume tub - he wanted to try 'everything' on. I know he will hate me for this one day. And for the record Mark was not here so he couldn't stop mommy from having so much fun :)
When we were done Jaren needed to do something manly so he went directly to playing with his big trucks!

Big girl
I promise more posts to come, just not sure when - between, keeping up with the kids, trying to clean the house and Marks classes, I'm just getting further and further behind everyday and when push comes to shove and I have a min. and I can either post on the blog or play with my kids - sorry, kids win.
Jaren is so verbal these days. While Mark and I can understand him and most others may not be able to he is talking so much better these days and just this weekend learned how much fun it is to scream. Yeah ;)
Landrie is really getting a personality and is growing every single day.
Being a mom is so rewarding and hard at the same time - I love it!!!
We went to the pumpkin patch this weekend and Jaren had a blast, I got some great pics we will share, hopefully soon.
For the mean time these three month pics of Landrie will have to do - Compliments of Amy - she finished right before her and cheeks left to go galivant at Disney - we are jealous.

our weekend
We have just complete a WONDERFUL weekend!!!
Friday night we just hung out at home and relaxed and played with the kids.
Mark let me sleep in on Sat. All the way to 8:00 (so sad that is sleeping in for us these days) After I got up and fed Landrie, Mark mowed the lawn then had to have a conference call for his class for about an hour (the only negative Mark on our weekend) We then got showered up, ate lunch and headed to Touch a Truck with my dad. We have gone the last three years and while there wasn't much there this year with the weather and we were only there for 15 min. due to rain, it was the perfect amount of time for us and Jaren loved seeing the trucks. He refused to actually touch them.
Jaren fell asleep on the way home so Mark watched some football while I sorted baby/kids clothes and got started thinking about Christmas stuff. After Jaren got up I headed to the kitchen where I made homemade chicken noodle soup and baked Monster cookies (all of this with a cool breeze coming in the windows from the rain) and watched the Cats beat Missouri YEAH!!! We followed dinner with some more playing and lounging around. I got our Christmas list completely ready to go and send an e-mail to the parents of Mark and I's 13 Godchildren begging for ideas so I could get started. After the kids were asleep Mark and I watched a movie and fell aslee listening to the rain.
Sunday morning we went to church, then ran to wal-mart for some much needed groceries and I got some chirstmas gifts as well. Came home ate lunch and Mark and the kids took naps while I went to babies r us to get some shower gifts. When I got home Amy came over with Landries 3 month pictures :) The kids and Mark got up we played some more, went and got Jaren a haircut (he did great and looks so grown up), ate dinner and we are getting ready to go to bed.
It was just a really nice weekend, one I hope to repeat real soon.
