Last weekend we went to KC to visit our best friends Kelsey and Marshal or otherwise known as Telsey and Narsal in our house :) We had a great time. Sat. morning we all woke up ate a delicious breakfast and headed to the KC Ren. Festival. Kelsey and I have always enjoyed people watching and let me tell you this is the place to do that. There were some interesting people and costumes there. We had a great time. Following the festival we went home for naps and to Watch the K-state Miami game. Which was AMAZING and so much fun to watch. Mark and Marshal actually hugged when the overturned Miami's last min. touchdown - priceless.
Following the game we went to a birthday party for some of our college friends Grand (spud) and his wife Michelle. We had a great time (pictures to come in KC trip part two)

It is really a rather large festival
Jaren was scopping out where we should go
Mark and Marshal being a cute 'couple'
My son decided he was old enough to ride a ride. Mark and I were both hit with how Old Jaren really is when he was riding this ride. Our baby loved riding the ride and didn't need us at all :( He is such a big boy, and is growing up before our eyes. We love him so much, but I'm not sure I'm ready for a baby that can ride amuzement park rides without needing me.

Mark showing Landrie the goods at these kind of events - no worries I showed her a funnel cake as well, just no picture of it because I'm eating and not taking the pictures.

My men - these pictures take my breath away, my two favorite men in the whole wide world - right up there with my daddy ;)

big baby girl
Landrie is three months old now and I can't believe it. She is so big and acting so big as well. She is cooing at us all the time. Continues to smile at us each time we interact with her - the best smile ever. She is working hard at tummy time and trying to learn how to roll over.
Can't wait till next month when we get to see how big she is compared to her same aged peers again. She is such a happy baby and Jaren loves her so much.
We traveled with her to KC over this weekend and she did amazing. Great pictures to come.

Jaren's finalization date anniversary
Each year we will celebrate the date when Jaren's adoption was finalized. This year we went out to eat with Jim, Phyllis, and Greg. Mark and Jaren shared a huge dessert. I should have taken a picture. It was the Chocolate Thunder Down Under. Mark was like a third grader ordering this. Boys will never grow up huh?

Misc. August
Landrie sleeping so peacefully
Jaren has been battling us on going to sleep for the past long while... Anyway, this night he decided he wasn't going to lay in bed and he was going to sit up and stay awake in the chair. We'll show him. We did lay him in bed after taking the picture so he didn't break his neck.
Daddy getting a famous foot cuddle
Daddy reading to the kids
Jaren reading to Pooh and Hope
Jaren sporting Landries clothes :) All his choice by the way.
Jaren decided that the baby needed a snack so he strapped the baby in the chair and went to the snack cabnet and got a bag of cereal to feed the baby - it was so cute.
Landrie laughing for mommy - the day before I had to go back to work my mom took Jaren for a bit and gave me some Landrie time and I got this great picture of her that day - Thanks mom.
Landrie is such a happy baby - she just lays there and then if you lean in and talk to her she smiles with her whole body - it is pretty amazing to see :)

Andale Days / Parade
Each year the in August Jim and Phyllis help with Summerfest or Andale Days. This year they entered a float in the parade and Jaren got to be IN his first parade ever. Landrie and I watched and took pictures with Aunt Beth and Cousin Carson. All the other cousins were on the float
Getting Ready to go
Our sign. All the kids signed it and put their ages.
He didn't even notice me because there were big trucks in front of them and candy in dads hand. :)
