IT'S FINAL
At 9:45 this morning we (Jaren, Mark, Me, and both of our parents) met our lawyer and Jaren's birthmom at the courthouse. We then went upstairs and waited about 20 min. for the lawyer. He came in, asked if we had any questions, signed his name, congratulated us, and told us it would be about 10 weeks before we got his birth certificate, which we have to have to apply for a social security card. It was very anti-climatic, but AMAZING!!! We are so excited with everything. It all went so smoothly. We were blessed with this whole scenario from my friend who thought of us, to Jaren's birthmom and her entire family. What an amazing experience. And one we will hopefully get to experience again soon.

ReplyDeleteYEAH!! I teared up reading this... it's amazing it went so smoothly and seemed like a 'non-event' when it so was a HUGE event! So glad both sets of grandparents were there too!
ReplyDeleteI also teared up, I am SOOOO excited that this is finally all 'official' and your guys's family has started. It is something I've been waiting for years to get to watch you guys be parents and I'm loving watching it. And asking for parental advice from you (thanks again Mark)!! I can't wait to get to share Many more moments with you guys and watch the little handsome devil grow (which he's not having a problem doing) Love you guys and congrats ~Amy
