still here

Just wanted to let you all know we are still here.

Mommy is busy right now. She has some really cute pictures to post, but she has to get through the next week or two first.

She has to:
* play with me
* complete her 54 page research paper this week
* complete the first half of her independent research paper
* propose her research to the research committee next Wednesday at 4:15 (wish her luck)
* play with me

She is busy and can't wait to be done. Should be by next Sept. or Oct.

She is also working with Aunt Amy to get my 9 month pictures taken. That's right folks I'll be nine months old on Sunday.

Thursday the 18th was my Daddy's birthday and he took me to the zoo. He even had to DVR K-states first round game in the NCAA tournament to go with me and he did. We had a really great time and we saw a lot of people we knew. We ran into Amy and Blake and hung out with them. We saw Daddy's cousin Natalie and her two boys, We saw mom and dad's friend Kristi with Mara, Ella and Lukas, we saw mommy's friend Christina from work as well as Emily. Well, pretty much Sedgwick County was there. It was Crazy busy, but we still had a good time. Mom said we got a zoo pass so we will be going back. Anyone want to come with us??? Mommy can take one person with her for free.

I miss you daddy

Daddy is in Minneapolis for work and I miss him SOOO much, he is my best friend.

I thought I'd share some of the photo's of dad and I having a good time so he could see them and me from far away.

This is Daddy and me reading up on how the Cats made it to the sweet 16!!! One of the best ways to wake up on a Sunday morning.

This is me and daddy "Watching" the March Madness games to see who the Cats will play on Thursday night - Don't worry Dad I'll watch the game for you and yell whenever Colon is in the game, since you will be on an airplane. Be safe.

Good Night Dad - I love you and can't wait to see you. Oh and mom says hi and hurry home.

My favorite things

Here they are folks - videos of two of my favorite things. My bottle and clocks.

I think mom and dad are missing one though. I LOVE getting ready for my bath. I have asked mom to get a video of this so you can see how cute I am and how funny I think it is and she should be posting it soon. As well.

Mom also has not posted an update on me in a while so here is the quick and dirty on me. I am still growing like a weed. Last they checked mom and dad said I weighed 23.8 pounds. I am riding in style now in my new car seat, which is pretty comfy. I'm wearing 12-18 month clothes, still have my beautiful blue eyes, and my birthmom's nose. I am giving kisses now which must be pretty adorable because mom and dad keep asking for them, but really all I'm doing is licking their faces. Oh, well it makes them happy I guess I'll keep doing it. I do not have any teeth yet. I love food, mom and dad haven't ventured much on table foods yet, but I may have tried every level two food out there. The next level is marked for crawlers and I, well, I refuse to do that. Mom keeps trying to teach me how and I keep letting her know how much I protest that. Mom even said that she has worked with a lot of kids on learning to crawl and I throw a better fit then some of her 3rd and 4th graders. I figure if I can roll and get anywhere I want then why crawl, plus my big old belly keeps getting in my way. Well, that's the gist of what is up with me, I'm just an overall happy baby who keeps on growing.

Oh, I did go to the doctor a week ago for this funny rash looking area around my eye and found out I have ceberiah dermatitis. (I'm sure I spelt that wrong) it is just a rash that will go away in approx. 2 months. They can't give me anything for it since it is by my eye either. The nice lady said that it is just something kids can get, nothing caused it and there was nothing to do to prevent it. It doesn't seem to bother me so I'll just keep on trucking :)

I won't crawl or get teeth, but I will stand at the furniture. This is actually my 8 month photo.

I have approx. 4 more post ready to go. Some really cute videos as promised of me with my bottle and clocks, a video of me giving kisses and getting ready for the bath. A slide show of my trip to the zoo. And the newest from this morning. A cute picture of Daddy and I reading in bed on the computer about how K-state made it to the sweet 16 and KU did not. Mommy said she won another competition at work (or bet) she made a bet with a guy at work, whoever's team (KU or K-state) made it farther in the tourney they other one had to wear their teams shirt. Mommy agreed, but said she would have to borrow a KU shirt, if she lost, as she refused to buy one. Now you all know what happened mommy paid UNI to win so she didn't have to wear a KU shirt.

Grandma Cheryl had all the grandkids over for a movie!!! First we had to read the book of the movie. Can you tell what it was? Where the Wild Things Are
