Spring Break 13

As mentioned in the last post we went to KC over spring break just to get away.  We stayed in a hotel for four nights, swam, visited family and friends, and ate out!!!  Other than Landrie getting sick halfway through our trip which resulted in us leaving our friends house with her in new outfit, me borrowing a shirt and not wearing socks home, as well as Mark wearing his jacket only as he had to remove his shirt.  All of this as we were visiting their new two week old baby.  Thank God Maelin didn't catch what she had as it lasted two weeks.

The pool had to be the highlight of the trip for Jaren, thank goodness Daddy doesn't mind catching him jump in from the side for hours.

Mark's birthday was during our trip.  His sister Beth and sister-in-law Sue came with their kids to swim at the pool.  They brought yummy cookies too:)

I just love this picture - they were watching TV together.  They have really started to 'play' together more often which is melting my heart.

Introducing Maelin  Our time with her was cut way to short with Landrie getting sick so not very many pics, but she sure was precious and I can't wait to see her again.

This pic breaks my heart, as Landrie is my baby and it just proves that she isn't a baby anymore.

It snowed on us almost everyday of our spring break in KC, while it was much warmer in Andale

The elevator of coure was probably the second best thing about vacation behind the pool

March 13

March was an interesting month for our family.  I slowly began to feel better although it was still a tough month for me.  I can GLADLY say now that on most days other than getting tired very early in the evening, I am feeling human again!!!  We had snow of course, as this season has gone.  We took a small family vacation over spring break to KC (pics to come) and celebrated Easter.  Here are some pics from March.

This is Landrie working on our Easter yard art.  I got the idea from Family Fun and it was genuinly that, Family Fun, infact I might have had a better time than the kids and they had a great time.

Holly was driving by this night with Jaycee and Celia so they stopped and helped and played with the kids while Holly and I had a GREAT visit

Here is our finished product.  It rained two days later and washed most of the chalk off of course so it wasn't this pretty on Easter, but we still had a blast and plan to do it again next year.  Actually Jaren has asked a few times already when we can color the tree again

Landrie got sick during spring break with gunk that stuck around for a little over two weeks.  Jaren got it for a few days as well, which resulted in us missing the family Easter Egg coloring event so we did it at our house by ourselves this year.  Mima Cheryl and Papa Mike came to enjoy this with us

I still have figured out how to get these to come up in the right order so these showed up in the middle of the egg coloring pics.  This is from when we took the kids to a Wichita Thunder Hockey game (I got free tickets from work)  Amy and Blake joined us as well :)  Jaren hasn't stopped talking about the Wichita Thunder and plays hocky constantly in the kitchen with his golf clubs and wearing his skates aka...socks

Our first escalator rides were a huge hit

 Playing with Playdough

At the hockey game (seriously need to figure out how to get these in order, I download them in the order I want them to show up and it never works)

Easter egg hunt in Andale - Thank goodness Papa Mac was there to help us out.

Yes, this is trip number two within 3 months to get stiches on our head.  The fireplace was the first culprit, this was the bathroom door frame.  She is just so graceful.  I wish the whole experience was as good as these pictures made it look.  Daddy stayed home with Jaren for this late night trip to the ER and Thankfully I picked up Papa Mike on the way (as honestly I was a bit afraid that they were going to call SRS on me).  Landrie remembered where we were as soon as we walked in the waiting room and it got uglier from there.

They loved Easter Egg hunting.  More to come on Easter pics
