THANKSGIVING

We had a REALLY good Thanksgiving and took advantage of the beautiful weather to take some family photos. (I know Grandma Cheryl - Finally) We went to Grandma and Grandpa Macs house first for a brunch and got these photos.

Then we went to Grandma Ginia's (well Great Aunt Carla's shed really) and spend some great time with that family before we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa Mac's for dinner. Man oh Man I had heard my mom talking about Turkey Gravy for a week, but didn't fully realize how serious she was about liking that stuff. She LOVES it!!!

Then on Friday we went to Grandma Cheryl's and Grandpa Mikes for a Thanksgiving lunch before Grandma Cheryl left to go to Vegas with her mom and sisters. Grandma said she would scope things out for me before I go in December with mom and dad. Yes, folks you heard me right I'm going to Vegas in December. My mom told my dad it was either go with me or not go at all - so I'm going :) On a plane at 6 months old - Mom and Dad might be crazy.

Any way, I can't wait for the holidays - mom and I finished our Christmas shopping the day before Thanksgiving so now all we have to do it listen to Christmas music and decorate the tree which I heard mom and dad talking about tonight and we are doing that next weekend - they say I'm going to like the lights a lot, because mom makes dad put on a TON! Anyway Happy Thanksgiving - Can't wait to see everyone on Christmas.
Family fun!

Growing up

Well, the inevitable is happening... Our baby is growing up. He is now able to roll over both ways and is holding his head up very nicely. He is no longer 'talking' one word at a time, but in full sentences and all the time. He simply looks more grown up (I promise pictures will come).

We will be feeding him is first real food this weekend. Baby cereal of course, but all the same it is not a bottle. I am so excited for this stage in his life. I'm very sad to see my little baby growing up, but so excited for what is to come.

4 month check up

Well, it was confirmed today - I'M a BIG deal.

Weight - 16 pounds = 67 %tile
Height - 26 1/8 in. 83 %tile
Head Circ. 43 3/4 cm. 85 %tile

Yeah, I know I'm HUGE.

Dr. Chavez said I'm doing great and says it is not fair that I am sleeping so much and so well for mommy and daddy.

He said that I need to keep looking to my left side more and that my tear duct is still blocked, but he won't do anything about that until I am 14 months old. :(

He did however give my mom and dad some drops to put into my eye to hopefully make my eye less gunky. We are keeping our fingers crossed.

That's about all other than the fact that mom and dad let them give me shots again. They keep swearing it is for my own good, but we'll see. The jury is still out on weather or not I believe them. They did tell me though that I don't have to have any more shots until I'm 6 months old.

ACTIVE

We have had a lot of people ask lately, which has made me realize we haven't made something very clear.

Mark and I Still want a BIG family. The only way to do that is to stay Active on our files and to continue to spread the word that we are looking to adopt another baby. Our only stipulation is that we have to have been able to do it physically ourselves. Jaren deserves to have us for that amount of time and we deserve to have him for that amount of time. Adopting another child right now would not be fair to him. Saying that, as long as Jaren can be 9 months old when the new baby would be coming along than we will be here with open arms and hearts.

We know that we were extremely blessed with everything that happened with and around Jaren's adoption. My friend thinking about us and calling, her niece agreeing to meet with us, her picking us, it being a PERFECT fit, and being able to feel secure with the adoption and still keep in contact with Jaren's birthmother, and it all happened SO FAST!!! We were so blessed and can't wait to welcome a new miracle into our family and watch Jaren be a big brother. (Let me just emphasise BIG - can't wait for his 4 month appointment on Monday)

So in short - YES we are still on the active list for adoption, which means we are looking to adopt again. So.... please continue to keep us in mind if you hear of any possible situations that could help our family grow. THANKS!!!

HUGE

Ok, so our son is HUGE.

I should have gotten pictures the past few days but I didn't.

Yesterday I put him in his three month pants and man oh man did he look like he was waiting for a flood. Which makes since since he is four months old today.

Then last night mark put him in six month pj's and they were not all that big.

Today was the kicker. I put on one of his BRAND NEW 3-6 month onsies and he looked like he was wearing a 3/4 sleeve onsie. CRAZY!!!

So, I just had to get on the scale with him and see how much he weighs. We have our 4 month appointment on Monday, but I couldn't wait. and he weighs...........16 pounds. CRAZY!!!

Just had to share, I'm baffled. He is SOOOOOO LONG!!!

Halloween

Here they are folks - I talked mom into taking a break from studying for her big test tomorrow to show you all these pics.

Here I am - mom is not sure why I am sideways, but I'm cute either way.

It was such great weather - mom wasn't even cold. And I sure wasn't with this silly, but cute costuem on.

Dad sure loves me. He thought I was the cutest Tiger he had ever seen. Which I was and am. :)

This is me with all my cousins on daddy's side, other than Troy (because he is toooo cool for us) and my KC cousins (well because they were in KC) We had a great time Trick-or-Treating at Aunt Luanns and Uncle Mikes.
